All the barn dance events listed here are open to the public and first-timers are very welcome. All the dances are called and taught for complete beginners. All live music. You don't have to bring a partner with you - there are always plenty of people to dance with. Both venues have free parking. There will be a bar at the Haxey events, and you're welcome to bring your own refreshments to the events in York.
